Athletics: Intro

The Governor French Academy, Inc. is a member of the Illinois High School Association in a non-conference status.

All upper school students at The Governor French Academy, Inc. are required to participate in at least two sports each school year. This fulfills the students' physical education requirements.

Governor French students can participate in the following interscholastic sports, according the availability of coaches and interested participants:

Coed Soccer
Girls' Volleyball
Boys' and Girls' Basketball

The Governor French Academy, Inc. competes in these sports against similarly sized private and public schools in the St. Louis area.

The Governor French Academy, Inc. also provides intramural softball and fitness training according to interest. In addition,

students may choose to compete in sports such as swimming and gymnastics through area clubs.

Students in the Lower School fulfill the physical education requirement through an on-campus karate program.
