| Governor French Academy's "Academic Priorities" have established that for Lower School students math is our second highest priority (Language skill is first.) and for Upper School students math is our first priority. But, the manner in which we establish our Math Team is unique. All students are part of it!
Not only has Governor French won the Southwestern Illinois Math Conference first place trophy for twenty-one of the last twenty-two years, we have more students participate than any other school and we are the smallest school in the Conference.
Everyone studies as much math as possible because we are convinced that our global future requires increasing technological skills from everyone. Math is no longer a requirement of the math-inclined. It is a requirement for everyone who is success-inclined.
